- When planting any fruit and nut tree, first prepare the soil with mulch and organic fertilizer to soften the ground.
- Water the tree thoroughly. Do not over water! Water the tree, let it dry, and water at a different time. Do not water the base if the soil surrounding is wet.
- If you have olive trees around snow or freezing weather, they need to be covered.
- Olive trees thrive in moderate temperatures. If weather is exceedingly hot, water at night so that the water does not evaporate or burn in the sun.
- Patience, patience, patience. It will take at least three years to get enough fruit to cure.
